Views inside the coop and out in the run in the morning, as the pop door opens (via an automatic opener) to let the chickens out of the coop.

Chickens starting on giant pumpkin & crowing
As previously mentioned, we’re letting the chickens in the veggie garden, to help clean it out. They’ve started pecking at the giant pumpkin we left there for them. It’ll take them a while to finish off that!
Also, I managed to capture a short clip of our Buff Brahma rooster Babe crowing:
Koi in the pond
Lots of young koi, and three bigger ones, swimming in our pond.
A peaceful interlude by the pond
Just some fish swimming and eating, and the sound of the waterfall.
Chicks released from the crate
The chicks are still upstairs, though will be moving into their new coop in a few days. Each morning I let them out of their crate for half an hour or so, while I spend time with them and change their food & water. There’s always an explosion of activity when I open the door.

A chick steals a Q-tip
We have some Q-tips for cleaning chick pasty butts, and a couple of chicks discovered them during my interaction time (when the crate is open), and stole some, and proceeded to run around squawking about their find. Great good fun!
Chickens discover worms from under logs
I turned over some of the logs in the chicken run, revealing a bunch of worms and other bugs. Even better than the spaghetti “worms” are real ones!
