Who is that very large black hen in the last photo of the chickens? – she is puffing herself up no end – is she miffed about something, or is it just that it’s spring?

Yes, we’ll be heading to NZ soon… though won’t be near Wellington; we’ll spend a few days in Auckland, then fly to Christchurch and do a driving tour of the South Island. Should be fun.
